Beautifully preserved Priscacara alongside a large palm frond out of the Green River Formation in Wyoming.

Priscacara are some of the more visually appealing fish to come out of the Green River Formation. They feature large dorsal and anal spikes making them easily identifiable amongst the other fish in this formation. They have a modern day sunfish-like body and features. In this particular specimen the dorsal spikes are raised and spread out for a great visual display.

Along side of this beautifully preserved fish is a large palm frond. This adds to the visual appeal as well as tells a story of the conditions in which this fish lived. Both specimens boast a high level of preservation and detail making for a stunning visual appeal.

Measurements of the plate are 27" wide x 20.5" tall. It is backed with 3/4 cabinet grade plywood and metal french cleats ready to hang in the home or office.
