Carcharodontosaurus often referred to as the "African T-rex" was a carnivore, with enormous jaws and long, serrated teeth. It had a large head with over 60 blade-like teeth, which were designed to pierce and tear apart the flesh of its prey. The arms of the carcharodontosaurus were somewhat short, but very strong. They had three claws on each of its fingers, which could've been used to get a better grip or even to kill some of its smaller prey.
The tooth featured here has beautiful dark red enamel preservation and shows some of the serrations common to this species of dinosaur.
